Our 4 Year Old is growing up!

Pre-Kindergarten has officially started
in our local Elementary School neighborhood.
I've heard it said by many how exciting
yet sad it is when it's time to drop your child
off for the very first time at school as they
walk away with their backpack in hand.

And now... we are experiencing it first hand.

As normal as it is and a must for everyone at some point,
it is still an emotion of mixed feelings as you see your
child gone AWAY from his normal home-schooled
environment and projects and now in the
care of another teacher as they spread
their independent wings away from you.

Because of his excitement to carry a backpack to school like a big boy,
I had to take advantage of his enthusiasm and capture a few memories.

Back to School Poem

August is here

And fall is near.

We hope that vacations

have been real fun.

My books are new, my pencils, too;

My hair is combed, my face is clean;

So welcome all children to

what this School Year brings.

Just hear that school bell ring!

So go have fun Lovebug, and learn Lots and LOTS!
