~ L O C A T I O N S ~

What makes a good photography location?

The location you choose will provide the background to your photo shoot.

So, in reality, ANY location can make a good location, because YOU will be the main subject focus. However, there are many factors to consider that go along with this, such as Time of day, Theme to portray and Clothing selection.

STYLE

First and foremost, pick a location that stands out to your style!   Ask yourself what style suits you for your shoot? Is this location great for the theme trying to portray? Are these images going to work once printed and displayed on your walls? Do you love saguaros and desert landscape? Or do you love waterfalls? Is there a park nearby that you just love their flowers?

Then think about what type of session you are having. Is this for a modeling portfolio or album cover where you may want a grunge look... or is this a Grad shoot and you want the school memories in your session?

Then again, sometimes a location may be super sentimental for you, or your place is the bomb and you want to showcase your pad in the background like David's below!  If that's the case, lets shoot there! Honestly, at the end of the day, this day is all about you and those with you being photographed!

Below are a few location examples to help inspire you for your next session.

Don't see anything you like, then maybe there's a park you prefer, or a place you just absolutely love...
For example, after church one afternoon, I remembered a really pretty little area next to a Fry's Grocery store I had seen, and by the next week, we did an entire shoot of my kids! So be on the lookout to what stands out to you, and let's shoot there!

*Please Note:

*Some locations may require a photography fee to use their location. AND, because we live in the desert...
*greenery, and flowers bloom differently throughout the year, or just may be dormant in the winter for your Christmas Portraits. So be sure to keep that in mind when deciding on your location.
