December 25th, Christmas Day

OUR STORY BEGAN...
Years ago, one Christmas Day, when I married my best friend, my love, my favorite person.
My only wish is that he'd found me sooner, so I could love him that much longer!
But for now, I'll share about our MERRY-ANNIVERSARY ❤

As I reflect back over the years... my life has changed so much during this time with many adventures and A LOT of new beginnings. From living on an island in South Carolina to the driest desert in Yuma, AZ.  And through our many cross country road trips, family time, church functions, and business decisions there is no other man I'd rather be with, than with him.  He understands me, encourages, strengthens and loves me. And even though perfect we may not be... I'm thankful to say we have been perfect for each other.

I love you Aaron Hinojosa, and look forward to many, many more Merry-Anniversaries with you!

... The sparks began in Columbus, Ohio in 2006...

Then one day... we walked along a Beach where he had placed a message in a little green bottle. I would have walked past it, buried deep in the sand under a log, until he diverted me back towards it! This is what it said:

Long story short, Christmas Day 2006 was a memorable one.
Not only because I married my best friend, but also because on this day, there was a
tornado warning along the same coast we were to be wed at Hunting Island, South Carolina.
The wind blew, and the rain poured down... and we Loved every minute of it!
It was our kind of weather, Fun & Memorable!
So yes, we're the adventurous storm chaser kind of people with our cameras in hand when we get the opportunity.

Trying to keep from blowing away, we had to take shelter under a near gazebo after awhile...
and it was then, that it had hit me how serious it would be if a tornado really did hit this coast!
You better believe, I prayed the warning would pass in time for our ceremony!

But it finally did!!
The storm passed and the wind died down just in time.

 

 

 

 

 

Then before long, we headed out for our honeymoon... and boy did we get tan!!

Our trip started with some memorable adventures in Disney World, Florida,
South to the Keys... as we ventured towards Cozumel and the Mayan Ruins.

[Below] While kayaking in Key West, we saw our first huge manatee swimming under our Kayaks. It was the coolest thing ever! (By the way, I flipped completely over as I headed into the mangroves not long after this photo was taken, LoL).

 

And did I mention that we still have snowball fights?

 

 

And then 2 years later,
our household grew by TWO FEET!
So on my hubby's birthday, we welcomed...

9 Lbs. 1 oz.

21" Long

and with a head full of hair!

 

After several cross country road trips from where we lived in Beaufort, SC to Arizona,
we decided to make our move to the Sunny State to be closer to family.

And 5 years later... our little preemie baby girl was born:

Rebekah Rachelle

October 2, 2013

5 Lbs. 12 oz.

18 1/2" Long

So as you see, whether it is a tornado, an earthquake, a snowstorm or an hurricane...
Living on an Island or the Arizona driest desert...
as long as we're together, having God on our side,
we're ready to conquer any adventure that comes our way.

 

So Friends & Family, here we are... our family of four.
Thankful and Grateful for another year to celebrate our MERRY-ANNIVERSARY.
