It's not often I get the opportunity to photograph this beautiful lady...
so it was a real treat to do her mini shoot this week!
For those of you that don't know, this is my mom.

Her birthday is coming up this March, and if you ask me, turning 60 never looked so good! ❤

When I was growing up, so many people always said I looked just like her,
but I never saw the resemblance as much as I see it now that I'm older.
I just hope I've taken on more qualities of hers than just the resemblance.

She's such a strong person that has been through a lot in life, yet always managed to
keep her head up and never lose faith in God and teach us kids the fear of the Lord when we were younger.
I appreciate that she's always been loving, and giving, sharing much of her wisdom and example to us.

SO with that said, I'm glad she was up for an updated Portrait Session to kick off a healthier lifestyle for 2018.

Yes... even I had to join in for a few shots with my Momma. :)
