For any of you that may have missed tonight's blood moon... here's my shot of it.  I would have loved to have my telescope handy for a much closer image, but oh well, maybe next time!

From what I understand, this is the 1st of 4 total lunar eclipse or tetrad, which kicks off Tax-Day, and will continue in roughly six-month intervals until October 2015. And according to NASA, seeing four complete lunar eclipses in a row is very rare. With this tetrad, the most unique thing being that all of them are visible from all parts of the USA.  So how cool is that! We have a front row seat!!
 

The skies have been tetrad-free from 1600 to 1900. But in the 21st century, there will be many. And as was stated on ABC News... “you go through centuries where you don’t have any, and centuries where you have a number of them.”  The next tetrad will begin in 2032.
