He Has Risen
Landmark | Groom, Texas
Many of you may have seen this landmark in Groom, Texas. You seriously can't miss it, unless you're a sleeping passenger. But there is a 19-story giant white cross located next to Interstate 40 (formerly U.S. Route 66). This 190-foot tall free-standing cross can be seen from twenty miles away, which is why we had to stop and photograph it while on a cross country road trip. Surrounding the base of the cross are life-sized statues of the Stations of the Cross including the tomb with the rolled away stone seen below. A definite must see, when you are in the area!
Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe. He Has Risen and Is Alive!
"O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" - 1 Corinthians 15:55
So many changes in this world, yet "there is no new thing under the sun". (Ecclesiastes 1:9) History always seems to repeat itself, and the way this crazy world is headed, that doesn't give much hope at all. But I'm thankful to know where my help, and hope comes from. Aren't you! Never forget where He has brought you from.
Religion - many are okay to talk about, Faith - even more are willing to accept that they have. Jesus - a name given among men whereby we must be saved, yet so many use this name in vain, or are ashamed to even say the name and perhaps even despise it. Yet, it's the name that brings healing and restoration, a name that even the devils know, believe and tremble (James 2:19). A name that brings Power because it's who He is. Jesus, the sweetest name I know. The one who died for me, and conquered death and hell, as he resurrected to free humanity from our sins. Paying our debt... He paid it all, and all to Him I owe.
We are all given a choice, and that's because God is a gentleman that won't force anyone against their will. So many debates going on in this world, on Facebook, amongst many people, yet in the end no one can make you do or believe anything against your will. It's your will, and your right to make it. But as for me, I know this world is not where it ends, we're just passing through. I'm thankful for the Freedom in where I live, even though little by little it seems as if we are losing that freedom of speech, and many other things with that etc... but one thing for sure, the Freedom Jesus has given no one can take it away from me. No one. I'm thankful for the Hope, the Promise, the Freedom, the Liberty and Salvation I have willingly decided to live according to His Word. We all have a choice, mine has been made, and today, I am thankful to have True Joy in this decaying world. Thank you for reading, I really do appreciate all of you for taking the time to read this.
